Canvas Stretching on Steriods

Tony's Custom Framing in conjunction with Mitschke's Custom Framing had the pleasure of stretching and hanging the beautiful new mural at the entrance of the Del Mar Turf Club. Famed murialist Pierre Bellocq painted this 30'x6' canvas.

We have worked on many large pieces in the past, but this is by far the largest piece we have ever conquered. It took a lot of planning, modular construction of stretcher bars, and a day to construct and stretch, and a day to install.

It wieghed a couple hundred pounds and took 15 people to get onto the wall.

It looks spectacular and we are very proud of it, and would love for you to go and see it next time you are at the race track. Please keep Tony's Custom Framing in mind for your next canvas stretching project. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Nov15Are You Paying Too Much for Your Frames?
Know Before You Go

You may be paying way too much for your picture framing. The inequalities begin by accurately translating “design speak” into “framer’s speak.” There’s a significant difference between the “finished size” and the “glass size” of a piece of art, the measurement framers use to calculate final prices.
